IdeaPico is an AI PRD (Product Requirements Document) Generator designed to transition app ideas into comprehensive specs, ready for AI coding agents. It works by interviewing users about their app idea and converting these ideas into clear and detailed documentation covering product, tech, design, and shipping aspects. Created to assist any coding agent, the user begins by providing a simple sentence or a loosely formed concept of their idea. IdeaPico then guides the user with several questions that are focused on key elements such as the product, workflow, data, risk, and UI queries which an AI agent usually needs for a smooth coding process. This thorough initial assessment helps coders avoid project interruptions and gives AI coding agents a complete context on which to base their coding. The final output is a handoff packet which can be sent to various AI coding agents such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, or v0. This packet lays out all relevant details in a straightforward manner such as product scope, user journeys, edge cases, acceptance criteria, technical architecture, data model, APIs, design system, screen rules, components, and release checklist.
